One of the greatest prayers recorded in Scripture is one prayed by Jesus. The predominant thought in this prayer is oneness. Our Lord prays that his followers, which includes you and I, would:
"be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world
may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may
be one as we are one; I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the
world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." (John 17:21-23)
We are to be one with God and one with each other. This is possible because we are in Christ just as he is in the Father. As the Father and the Son and the Spirit are one, we are to be one with them and one with each other. Inness and oneness, perhaps the greatest achievement of the Spirit of God in this age. Jesus admits in this prayer that he has given them and us his glory, the glory he received from the Father. Inness, oneness, and glory. We are in God and one with God and we have received his glory. Astonishing! As a part of this unity we are to work together to experience oneness throughout the body of Christ in Northern New Mexico.
We are praying with Christ for this oneness and unity here. We would like to offer, as a part of this web site, a recognition of various services and ministries offered in this region which may promote a sense of oneness throughout the body of Christ here. Remember, we are in God as he is in us. We are one in our Lord. He has given us his glory. Let's glorify him together as we complete his work.
